BACKGROUND

African Princes of Comedy Tour started in 2013 by comedian Foxy P. For the first 2 years, the tour was instituted by “The Touts”, a group of four standup comedians, namely Foxy P, Kanmi, Kapone and Chief Obi, all signed to African Comedians Inc, a Talent Management Agency based in Maryland USA.

The goal was to provide a platform to harness the collective talents of African Comedians based in the Diaspora and to share the same to the teeming worldwide audience and following that they have individually grown across their multiple comedic-engagement channels.

With more than 115 stops between 2013-2015, across the US, UK and Canada, the group of now more than 28 comedians based in the diaspora, from Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and Kenya, boasting of more than 3.4 million combined followers on social media, have performed in Major cities and at various prestigious colleges including Princeton, Yale, NYU and Georgetown University. They have also shared the stage with prominent African comedians including BasketMouth (African Kings of Comedy), Michael Blackson (Syracuse University), Gbenga Adeyinka, Helen Paul, Wale Gates, Seyi Law, Mr. Ibu and Tboy-DontJealousMe (University of Minnesota).
